Old Timey Crimey #21: The Erdington Murders - "Fish Nibbles"
Friday Aug 09, 2019
Friday Aug 09, 2019
This week, we wander from 1817 to 1974 to examine two murders with some striking similarities. Was it pure coincidence, or was something sinister at play? Don't worry, Kristy has an entirely out-there conspiracy theory for you--and Scott's just as shocked as anyone.
Along the way, we have some international food talk in which we insult both other cultures and our own, Kristy kicks Scott out, and your intrepid co-hosts make each other wildly uncomfortable with our speculation about lacerations and bloody shoes.
You'll be the best gumshoe ever if you leave us a 5-star review on iTunes. And introducing a novel way you can control our fates! Go to our Amazon wishlist and purchase a book for a future "Deep Dive" to pick a future episode topic.

Old Timey Crimey #20: Belle Gunness - "Picnic at the Murder Farm"
Friday Aug 02, 2019
Friday Aug 02, 2019
She was 6 feet, 200 pounds of pure murder. This week, Scott and Kristy delve into the case of Belle Gunness, frequent flyer of insurance companies, banks, and probably any establishment that sells both cleavers and poison. She was the Spiderwoman to H.H. Holmes's Spiderman, and if they'd met, they'd either have killed each other or killed even more people--if that's possible.
Don't miss our list of La Porte, Indiana's many luminaries--seriously, don't miss this--along with so, so many air quotes that you can't see because this is an audio medium. But don't worry, we'll tell you.

Friday Jul 26, 2019
This week, we hop back to 1928 in Pennsylvania, where one man's run of horrible luck results in his suspicions that he was hexed. In the end, a man will lose his life and a town will be forever changed. But eventually there's a hayride, so we'll try to take solace in that.
Also, we learn some fun spells that probably won't cure what ails you, find out Scott's awesome insomnia remedy, and learn a very simple method for escaping a state hospital. And for a palate cleanser, stay tuned for a woman who refused to pollute the earth. To be honest, we kinda can't blame her...

Old Timey Crimey #18: Sawney Bean - "It's never over."
Friday Jul 19, 2019
Friday Jul 19, 2019
It's cannibalism time...again. This week, Kristy and Scott take a look at Scotland's infamous Sawney Bean clan and their very, very, VERY bad habits. We'll debate whether the legend has any merit--procreation math included!--and talk about cave decor, the Ye Olde Timey Tabloid, and Kristy's new name for her bathroom...inspired by none other than Henry VIII.
And while we're at it, Scott does not check Kristy's menarche numbers, and Kristy isn't eating smoothies, bacon, or beans anytime soon. Remember....IT'S NEVER OVER.

Friday Jul 05, 2019
Friday Jul 05, 2019
Kristy's back from France just in time to talk about a prolific French killer, Henri Désiré Landru, a reverse black widow who preyed upon the vulnerable. When the police declined to notice a plethora of missing women, the intrepid half-sister of one of his victims ensured that Landru came to justice.
We also have Venn diagrams of serial killers and model husbands, as well as some sage advice: never let anyone buy you a one-way train ticket.
Today's episode brought to you by our hero, Marie Lacoste.
