Scott and Kristy look at Eugene Francois Vidocq, a man who just couldn't decide what he wanted to be--unless he was escaping from jail. From traveling entertainer to swordsman, from traitor to fake aristocrat, he did it all and SO. MUCH. MORE.
This man did not know how to handle a promotion or learn from experience, but he knew how to keep everyone guessing.

Old Timey Crimey #20: Belle Gunness - "Picnic at the Murder Farm"
Friday Aug 02, 2019
Friday Aug 02, 2019
She was 6 feet, 200 pounds of pure murder. This week, Scott and Kristy delve into the case of Belle Gunness, frequent flyer of insurance companies, banks, and probably any establishment that sells both cleavers and poison. She was the Spiderwoman to H.H. Holmes's Spiderman, and if they'd met, they'd either have killed each other or killed even more people--if that's possible.
Don't miss our list of La Porte, Indiana's many luminaries--seriously, don't miss this--along with so, so many air quotes that you can't see because this is an audio medium. But don't worry, we'll tell you.

This week, we hop back to 1928 in Pennsylvania, where one man's run of horrible luck results in his suspicions that he was hexed. In the end, a man will lose his life and a town will be forever changed. But eventually there's a hayride, so we'll try to take solace in that.
Also, we learn some fun spells that probably won't cure what ails you, find out Scott's awesome insomnia remedy, and learn a very simple method for escaping a state hospital. And for a palate cleanser, stay tuned for a woman who refused to pollute the earth. To be honest, we kinda can't blame her...

Friday Jun 28, 2019
Friday Jun 28, 2019
Kristy and Scott take a deep dive into the case of the Sodder children and a Christmas house fire that left nothing but questions in the ashes. Along the way, we'll run into some memorable characters, although some are memorable in the worst way--we're looking at you, Fire Chief F.J. Morris. And after we marvel at the lengths parents will go to for their children, Kristy happens upon a theory that ruins Christmas for everyone.

Old Timey Crimey #13: The Murder of Stanford White
Friday Jun 14, 2019
Friday Jun 14, 2019
This week, Kristy and Scott investigate a case involving a smoking hot babe, a bajillionaire with breathtaking paranoia and access to firearms, and a lothario with a superhuman ability to grow facial hair. Listen this week and learn why sometimes it's a good idea to just wait things out. Be sure to leave us a 5-star review on iTunes. Friday Apr 19, 2019
Friday Apr 19, 2019

Submit your review + limerick by May 16, 2019. Vote will be held from midnight May 17 to noon May 20, 2019, and the top vote getter wins an Old Timey Crimey t-shirt featuring our logo and your limerick! Continental U.S. only.
